iPhone 8 and iPhone 8 Plus have smaller batteries than last year’s phones

Apparently, Apple is using smaller batteries inside the iPhone 8 and iPhone 8 Plus compared to those found in the 7 and 7 Plus. Both phones passed through China’s TENAA for approval, and the size of their batteries were listed.
The iPhone 8 has a 1821mAh compared to the 7’s 1960mAh and the 8 Plus has a 2675mAh compared to the 7 Plus’s 2900mAh battery, which is even lower than that found on the iPhone 6s Plus 2750mAh and the 6 Plus 2915mAh. Meaning, although the iPhone 8’s battery size is still above the iPhone 6 and iPhone 6s, this year’s 8 Plus is the lowest ever on a Plus variant since it was introduced.

Before you lose your s#!t altogether, note that
a) Other companies with Android phones often have to pack much larger batteries due to the hardware consuming loads of power thanks to the software not being completely optimized.
b) According to Apple, the A11 Bionic processor allows for these two phones to run more efficiently while being less tasking on the battery than any other iPhone before them.

Besides, there may be nothing to worry about seeing as Apple has a reputation for besting competition with larger capacity batteries so, if you are considering either of these phones, breathe easy.
