IOS 11 will be released today and the supported device list shows that Apple cares for its consumers

Hands down one of the perks of being a part of the Apple ecosystem is updates and long term support.
Where recently released Android counterparts have to wait weeks or months even to experience the much lauded Android Oreo (if they ever get to see it on their recently released device that is), Apple on the other hand pushes out their latest updates right from the day it drops to all supported devices..And today is one of such days.

iOS 11 is ready to start rolling out to all Apple supported devices. It (iOS 11) offers enhanced AR capabilities, a new user experience, and an improved camera app. The Apple voice assistant Siri is not left out as it also gets an update in the form of a much more natural new voice and the ability to translate from English to five languages. The update is listed as 1.7GB in size and experts have it that you’d require at least 4GB of storage space before comfortably upgrading. So you that carts around near 30GB of selfies on a 32GB iPhone, you may want to dump them selfies to initiate the update.

Aside the iPhone X, 8 and 8 Plus that come with IOS 11 out the box, here is the list of devices slated to see the update:
iPhone 7,
iPhone 7 Plus,
iPhone 6s,
iPhone 6s Plus,
iPhone 6,
iPhone 6 Plus
iPhone 5s,
iPhone SE,
iPad Pro 9.7,
iPad Pro 10.5,
iPad Pro 12.9,
iPad 9.7,
iPad Air 2,
iPad Air,
iPad mini 4,
iPad mini 3,

The only iOS 10 devices that are not getting the upgrade are the iPad 4 and the iPhone 5, along with the iPhone 5c.

The update will go live today the 19th of September at 6pm West African time.
