Raise hands if you grew up to Arnold Schwarzenegger playing
doctor by carving a hole in his arm and plucking out an eyeball in the same
apartment every movie serial killer of the 80’s operated out of.
I’m doing that forehead touching thing Professor Xavier does and sensing a lot of hands. Wasn’t that just the golden age for movies?

Well, remember couple weeks back, news
made rounds that James Cameron was attempting to re-introduce that touch of JC
magic into the Terminator franchise he created in an upcoming Terminator reboot?
A touch that right after Terminator 2: Judgment Day (and Cameron’s departure),
the franchise has been out of “touch” with. To offer some perspective, after T2
there’s been T3, T4 and T5 or how I like to remember them T3-Loken in leather, T4-Avatars
& Dark Knights and T5-Khaleesi of the future.
Per a report out from Paramount Pictures, T6 will be
hitting theaters in the summer of 2019, but that is not all, the same report offers
tiny details on the plot of the movie stating T6 will ignore T3,4 and 5 and
just serve as a direct sequel to T2. You know, sort of like how the Wolverine trilogy
wanted us to treat it as just a duology, sequelogy …uhmm 2 films.
Plus, none of that ageing skin nonsense they played us with in Terminator Genisys,
this reasoning for an obviously aged Arnold is genius.
So, not only are the OG’s of the Terminator franchise coming
back (James Cameron, Arnold Schwarzenegger and Linda Hamilton); the new movie
will be the first movie of a planned trilogy.
What’s your take on this? If I had a say in the matter
though, I’d pardon T4 small. I low-key enjoyed it
