What better way to breathe new life into the Transformers
franchise than to take a step back from all that blowing stuff up/incoherent
plot lines the franchise is famous for and make an origin movie with a heart
(looks to have heart from this trailer) based on Autobot favorite Bumblebee.
Someone said ‘thank Poseidon it is not produced by Michael
Bay.
The official synopsis reads: Twenty years before the events of the first film, in 1987, Bumblebee
takes refuge in a small California beach town junkyard, where a teenage girl
named Charlie Watson takes him in. However, the two of them soon find
themselves hunted by a Government Agency known as Sector Seven, lead by Agent
Burns. As they run from society, the two learn that Bee isn't the only
Transformer on Earth, and that the others might not be as friendly
Directed by Travis Knight and centered around the titular
character and a prequel to the events of the Transformers film series. It stars
Hailee Steinfeld, John Cena amongst others.
It is out 21st of this December.
