Xiaomi's collaboration with Google may be one to look out for

Chinese OEM Xiaomi is quickly building a reputation for itself globally and in Nigeria. Their Redmi, Mi Max and Redmi Notes have become worthy contenders in the budget friendly Nigerian tech consumer circles.
Notably missing from the Naija scene though is the Mi Mix that many consider the one that started the whole bezel-less craze that nearly all OEMs are falling over themselves to make a staple of the modern day flagship smartphone. Xiaomi looks to be only getting bigger as it turns out it is working with Google on an Android smartphone and it will be running stock Android. And yes, it is slated to feature a bezel-less or as some call it infinity display.

Thanks to a post on a Chinese website weibo, the phone may be going by the name Xiaomi 'Mi A1' aka Android One, and will feature a full screen display.
NB, Facebook once teamed up with HTC to produce the Android One device that did not quite take with tech consumers (polite speak for it was a disaster), here is hoping this works out more than well for Xiaomi and Google.

Release date and specs are still unknown at this point but if looks and reputation are anything to go by, it will be soon and the Xiaomi Mi A1 will be something of a beast. One question though, is the Android One supposed to kill off the Nexus line of phones?
