Budget phones with features like water resistance,
fingerprint sensors and considerably reduced screen to body ratio have been flooding
the market in droves lately, most recently a $150 (NGN 55k) Bluboo Galaxy S8
knockoff with not just an infinity display but
better placed finger print
sensor on the back, making it painfully obvious, these implementations are no
longer as expensive as they once were therefore, every phone can come equipped
with said features.
Be it as it may, I am not sure if Samsung is looking to make
the Galaxy ‘A’ series of phones premium like their ‘S’ line or they are simply on
a path of making the infinity display a staple of every line of phones they
manufacture (which wouldn’t be a bad thing). Considering the Galaxy ‘A’ line of
phones from Samsung have been steadily adopting Galaxy S features for a while
now, with the 2017 models adopting the Always on Display and water resistance, it
does not come as much of a surprise learning of rumors that the infinity
display will also be featured on upcoming 2018 Galaxy ‘A’ phones. At this
point, if the Galaxy ‘J’ series can already be featuring finger print sensors.
