The hotly anticipated Samsung
Galaxy Note8 unveiled yesterday by Samsung proved to be everything and more the
leaks prior to its release teased it would be.
And seeing as the iPhone 8 has
also been sparking a lot of media attention with the leaks that keep coming in
droves, it was only a matter of time before both smartphones were pit against
one another. Although the iPhone 8 is not due to be announced until 3rd week in
September, thanks to already leaked schematics, dummies have been making rounds
ergo we have a pretty good idea of what it would look like...but more
interestingly, here is what it’d look like when placed next to the Samsung
Galaxy Note 8. Which begs the question, which do you think will be crowned
Smartphone supreme of 2017?
The iPhone measures 143.5 x 71 x
7.5 mm while the Note8 is noticeably larger - 162.5 x 74.8 x 8.6 mm. Both
phones have screens with wider-than-standard aspect ratios, though on the
iPhone, part of the top has been cut out to make space for the front camera and
facial scanning hardware. Around back, the iPhone 8’s dual camera hump is much
more pronounced than Samsung's.
The bottom sides of both phones are
quite different largely to Samsung opting maintain the 3.5mm jack and mono
speaker grills and the housing for the S-Pen while Apple offers stereo
speakers.
